20 Jun Local agents and institutions begin the review of the Rio Minho cross-border Strategy 2030
Today, the first steps were taken to revise the 2030 Strategy for the cross-border Rio Minho. The EGTC Rio Minho led this Tuesday a meeting with local agents and institutions in Valença to work on this initiative that seeks to draw up an action plan to improve the governance of cooperation in the territory. Under the RIO_MINO_2030 project, approved in the first INTERREG VA POCTEP call, the adaptation of the Rio Minho 2030 territorial strategy is being sought to develop an action plan that will be submitted to the 6th call of the program, scheduled for the first semester of 2024.
With this meeting, representatives of municipalities and rural development groups started, together with the EGTC Rio Minho, a walk to revise the Intelligent Cooperation Strategy for the territory of the cross-border Rio Minho, justifying the functional articulation of the spaces in which to develop strategies that encourage the creation of employment, the social cohesion of the territory and the well-being of citizens through concerted policies, promoting, valuing and developing the resources and potential of the common territory.
In this way, local and institutional agents will join efforts to strengthen cooperation and promote the sustainable development of the territory, also profiling actions that seek innovation, the development of entrepreneurship and equal opportunities.
