23 Nov The municipal techniques of the territory meet to prepare a survey for the neighborhood in the framework of the preparation of Cross-border Urban Agendas
Once the worktables have been completed, the municipal teams of the territory and the EGTC Rio Minho held a new online meeting today in the framework of the preparation of the Cross-border Urban Agendas of the Rio Minho to prepare the citizen participation process that will complete the work carried out so far by the municipalities. The consultant responsible for advising and guiding the teams throughout the training program, Arturo González, was also present at the meeting.
Specifically, each of the three working groups formed will write a survey on the most relevant topics that affect their territory. The questionnaires will be available to the public from December 15 on the EGTC Rio Minho website until January 15, 2023. Participation will be anonymous, and the questions will revolve around everyday neighborhood problems such as mobility, housing, culture, equality, recycling or the circular economy.
The Cross-border Urban Agendas of the Rio Minho are a work of cooperation and joint planning between both banks of the river to create future projects based on the Sustainable Development Goals of the ONU. The goal is common governance at local level focusing on improving people’s lives and creating a more sustainable and inclusive territory.
The training program “Cross-border Urban Agendas of the Eurocities of the Rio Minho” is integrated into the project “Support Network for Local Dynamics of Cooperation in the Cross-border Rio Minho” – REDE_LAB_MINHO, promoted by the EGTC Rio Minho and co-financed by the Interreg V-A Program Spain-Portugal.
