14 Jul Mayors and mayoresses of the cross-border Rio Minho territory learn about the action plan for the revision of the 2030 Strategy
The EGTC Rio Minho continues to take steps towards the revision of the 2030 cross-border Rio Minho Strategy, a document that has made it possible to frame the projects and activities of recent years and present project nominations for the territory in calls financed by the FEDER programs within the European Budgetary Framework 2014-2020.
Mayors and mayoresses of the cross-border Rio Minho Territory met in Valença to learn about the work program that will be carried out for the review and adaptation of that initial document to align the strategy with the requirements of the new period 2021-2027, making an adaptation with an integrated approach as a Rio Minho functional area that allows funding resources to be concentrated with a view to calls for new projects scheduled for the first half of 2024.
With this new meeting, the mayors and mayoresses of the territory’s municipalities started a journey together with the EGTC Rio Minho with which they seek to create a new document justifying the functional articulation of the spaces in which to develop strategies that promote the creation of jobs, the social cohesion of the territory and the well-being of citizens through concerted policies, promoting, valuing and developing the resources and potential of the common territory.
These review works are funded by POCTEP 21-27 in the scope of the RIO_MINHO_2030 project, approved on the first INTERREG VI A POCTEP call.
