This was the first of two “peer to peer” knowledge exchange meetings between the five regions participating in the project that try to promote dialogue on cross-border governance, decision-making mechanisms and strategic planning for cross-border development.
The EGTC Rio Minho presented its experience in cross-border governance and strategic planning, making known the steps taken towards real and effective cross-border cooperation.
The other four pilot regions of the project also presented their experiences: the Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai; the EGTC Cerdanya Hospital; the EGTC Alzette Belval, Pôle Métropolitain Frontalier and PRO-SUD; and the EGTC Niemen-Nemunas.
